About Us

Our History

Hillview Quarries Pty Ltd has operated on the Mornington Peninsula since 1968, but the area has supplied high-quality construction material to Victoria dating back more than a century.

The company was formed after acquiring T.W Maws & Sons Quarries Pty Ltd, located in Dromana, which operated a number of smaller quarries across the area.

It was among the assets that formed the centrepiece of the charitable bequest left by Mr Roy Everard Ross on his death in 1970.

Many of the homes, schools, hospitals, shopping centres and roads across the Peninsula are built from the supply of quarry material from this area.

Hillview Quarries rock is used in everything from housing and driveways to roads and bridges, roundabouts and seawalls.
